Notebook ODMs See Rising Shipments in March

Quanta Computer saw its March notebook shipments rise by almost one million units on month to arrive at 2.8 million units, while Compal Electronics' volumes picked up 75% on month to reach 4.2 million units, Digitimes reports. Wistron's notebook shipments increased from only one million units in February to 1.4 million in March with those of Inventec ramping up from 1.1 million units to 1.5 million. Pegatron's shipments also rose to 600,000-650,000 units in March.
In addition to 1.4 million notebooks, Wistron also shipped 195,000 servers, 700,000 monitors and 1.4 million desktops in March, up from 120,000 units, 500,000 units and 800,000 units in February, respectively. Pegatron, meanwhile, shipped 800,000-850,000 desktops in March, according to Digitimes.
