Ryder Industries Names Wilson Chan VP of Engineering
April 23, 2019 | Ryder Industries Ltd.Estimated reading time: 2 minutes
Ryder Industries recently appointed Wilson Chan to the position of vice president of engineering. Chan brings more than 20 years of experience in ODM/OEM design and manufacturing to the company.
“We’re very excited to have Wilson join us,” explains Ryder CEO, Henry Wu. “His skillset is exactly in the areas we are focused on. It’s great to align with someone who knows how important new product introduction (NPI) and overall DFM are to our customers’ success, and who already understands how to make that happen.”
“Ryder is a place where I can demonstrate both my design capability and NPI management skills,” explains Wilson. “It’s clear that Ryder places great importance on Research & Design, and as a result has a long history of customer satisfaction. I’m looking forward to providing excellent engineering design services with this terrific team.”
With Ryder’s strong experience in manufacturing prosumer audio products, and broad experience in RF modules (488 MHz to 2.4 GHz) to multiple standards (Bluetooth, ZigBee, Z-Wave) for global customers, Wilson sees opportunities in the IoT market. To keep up with the needs, trends and goals of the market, he collaborates closely with leading manufacturers.
As a Swiss-owned company manufacturing in China, Ryder is all about precision and fine pitch electronic manufacturing services. Ryder’s focus on integrity and quality coupled with their ability to ramp up production is captured in their moto “Swiss Precision: Chinese Scale.” This vision of value-added engineering has given them an advantage over other pure OEM manufacturers.
