Companies that succeed in today’s market of just-in-time delivery, volatile demand, and geopolitical uncertainty are those with the strongest supplier relationships. Global sourcing is no longer transactional; it’s a strategic partnership model dependent on cultivating and sustaining relationships with overseas suppliers. From trust-building to technology, cultural fluency to contractual alignment, these seven principles form the foundation for sustainable and resilient supply chains. More >

The electronics industry is one of the strongest pillars of global trade, generating more than $580 billion annually in EMS companies. It drives innovation in automotive, telecommunications, medical devices, and clean energy. The U.S. Census Bureau reports that Mexico has consolidated its position as a strategic hub in North America. Mexico exports more than $100 billion in electronics each year, employs over 330,000 specialized workers, and ranks among the top five global exporters in several categories. More >

For decades, the PCB and the semiconductor package lived in separate universes. PCBs belonged to the world of board shops, panels, and assembly lines; packages belonged to semiconductor fabs and OSATs. Substrates and interposers, meanwhile, were niche system-level package “components” in the middle, largely invisible to the outside world. That separation is dissolving as definitions broaden. The rise of high-density interconnect (HDI) and its next-generation cousin, ultra HDI (UHDI), is pushing PCB manufacturing into territory once reserved for semiconductor packaging. More >

Solderability testing answers a simple question: How readily will a termination form a sound solder joint under defined conditions? It is not component preconditioning. Rather, it evaluates wetting—the speed and extent to which molten solder spreads and adheres to a surface—using controlled methods (e.g., visual “dip-and-look” or wetting-balance measurements). Results reflect the combined effects of termination finish, storage and handling, flux activity, and the solder alloy in use. More >
