HP Collaboration Solutions Boost Meeting Productivity

HP has announced new collaboration solutions, including the HP Collaboration PC, a dedicated meeting room PC that offers businesses a cost-effective, easily manageable and secure way to improve collaboration and meeting productivity between colleagues.
The company also unveiled the HP Conferencing Keyboard and the HP ProDisplay P222c Video Conferencing Monitor to further enhance collaboration for the modern workforce.
A large portion of employees' time is often spent in meetings; however, today's business meetings are not very efficient. Too much time is spent at the beginning of a meeting getting the technology to work.
"Many of us have experienced the pain of participating in conference calls and remote meetings, including dialing-in and connecting," said Alex Cho, vice president & general manager, HP Commercial PCs. "Collaboration solutions from HP help address these challenges by providing a simplified experience to engage with colleagues."
Based on the HP EliteDesk 800 Mini PC loaded with Intel® Unite™, the Collaboration PC provides a quick, wireless connection to any display or projector for an on-screen collaboration and sharing experience. The content is accessed within the corporate network by entering a unique PIN for log in; dongles and wires are no longer required.
Collaborators can quickly share files and annotate documents side-by-side, and IT can manage and secure the device like a traditional PC, deploying it in small to large rooms.
"With Intel Unite, businesses can easily modernize the conference room into a smart and connected meeting space with enhanced security," said Tom Garrison, vice president and general manager of Intel's Business Client Platforms. "The new HP Collaboration PC with Intel Unite software enables improved collaboration and faster meetings, and ultimately a better way to work."
The Collaboration PC leverages the world's smallest business-class desktop1, the EliteDesk Mini PC powered by Intel® Core™ i5 and Core™ i7 processors with Intel® vPro™ technology. The one-liter chassis device -- smaller than most office phones -- is designed for customers with constrained workspaces, and can easily fit and be secured behind a conference room display.
The new device is part of HP's suite of collaboration solutions, which include:
- HP ProDisplay P222c Video Conferencing Monitor - optimized for collaboration, the 21.5-inch monitor is HP's first certified Skype for Business affordable priced under $200 and offers high-quality audio and video, as well as hot keys on the bezel to control call settings. The HP Collaboration PC and HP Chromebox for Meetings can attach directly behind the monitor via the HP Quick Release on the VESA mount.
- HP Conferencing Keyboard - a first-of-its-kind keyboard option for employees who regularly participate in voice and video calls from their desk. This full-sized quiet USB keyboard is optimized for Skype for Business so a user can directly manage calls, devices and content with dedicated keys without juggling through multiple windows on their device.
- HP Chromebox for Meetings - a high powered and affordable video collaboration system that makes it easy to add high-definition video collaboration to conference rooms. Easy to set up and simple to use, the system allows conference participants to access meetings from most PCs, phones or tablets to share screens, draw, annotate and edit documents in real time with Google Apps for Work. Powered by an Intel Core processor, HP Chromebox is compatible with other video conferencing systems and supports dial-out and dial-in access with a number of unified communications providers. Chromebox for Meetings connects to nearly any display or TV and offers dual display with DisplayPort and HDMI outputs and a VESA mounting capability. The HP Chromebox for Meetings bundle includes HP's EPEAT®-registered Chromebox, a high-definition webcam, powerful speaker and microphone for crystal-clear audio, along with a wireless handheld remote that allows users to join a Hangout with the touch of a button.
