IEC Unveils New Enhanced Website
June 15, 2016 | IECEstimated reading time: 1 minute
International Electronic Components (IEC) continues its 50th anniversary celebrations with the launch of a new and improved website. Part of the online strategy to position IEC as leaders in the printed circuit board (PCB) industry, the new website has been constructed with responsive design using a proprietary content management system and is built to grow with the company.
IEC enlisted the talents of the web design team Cybertech Web Studios, led by John Hollingsworth, to bring their vision to life. The addition of highly impactful visuals, their corporate story, and detailed product and service listings contribute to making the new site engaging and accessible to visitors.
“To be leading edge in any industry, a strong online presence is critical and we think we’ve achieved that,” said IEC President Shawn Stone. “The new mobile-friendly website along with our other online efforts are additional opportunities for IEC to provide excellence in service to both our customers and our suppliers. We’re happy to continue earning their trust by keeping our operation current and adaptable.”
IEC was founded in 1966 by the late James Patterson Stone. His son, Shawn Stone, along with business partner Chuck Williams, have continued to grow the business as a successful sales and service provider and the longest serving distributor to the circuit board industry in North America. They have established partnerships with companies such as Dow/Eternal, CAC, MTH and Kodak that span decades.
For more information visit the new website at www.ieccan.com or contact Blaine McLellan at blaine.mclellan@ieccan.com or call 1-800-363-4794.

SEMICON West: The Path to a $1 Trillion Future
10/14/2025 | Marcy LaRont, I-Connect007After more than 50 years in San Francisco, SEMICON West moved its 2025 show to Phoenix, which is significant because it highlights the importance of Arizona as a semiconductor and tech hub. Though the show will be back in San Francisco in 2026, the overwhelmingly warm welcome SEMI received from Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs, Phoenix Mayor Kate Gallego, and ASU President Michael Crowe—who has been responsible for ASU repeatedly achieving the U.S. News and World Reports most innovative university ranking—was remarked upon repeatedly. Is Glass Finally Coming of Age?
10/13/2025 | Nolan Johnson, I-Connect007Substrates, by definition, form the base of all electronic devices. Whether discussing silicon wafers for semiconductors, glass-and-epoxy materials in printed circuits, or the base of choice for interposers, all these materials function as substrates. While other substrates have come and gone, silicon and FR-4 have remained the de facto standards for the industry.
