Responsibilities include: 

• Review customer prints and Gerber files to ensure they meet manufacturing and IPC requirements.
• Create flexible printed circuit board designs and files to meet engineering and customer requirements. This can include working from customer prints or files, design from concept, and/or design from schematic.
• Collaborate with internal FCT application engineers, internal local and offshore manufacturing engineers to optimize the design of flexible PCB and assemblies.
• Prepare and document changes to customer prints and files. Work with FCT application engineers, customers, and manufacturing engineers to finalize designs. 
• Reviews and answers manufacturing questions, if needed, related to files and design.
• Works with engineering assistant on Bill of Material (BOM) requirements. 

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2+ years focused on-the-job PCB design/layout experience
• Ability to learn related to new materials, stack ups, design rules for specialty circuits 
• Working experience with CAD software: Infinite Graphics Par, SolidWorks, Altium, or other
• Working knowledge of IPC standards for PCB industry preferred
• Working knowledge of Flexible PCB materials, properties, and abilities a plus
• IPC CID or CID+ certification or desire to obtain certification a plus
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
