Jointly developed by U.S.-based company S&P Dow Jones Indices and RobecoSAM AG, a Swiss investment advisory firm, the DJSI is an index that evaluates companies worldwide from three perspectives - Governance & Economic, Environmental and Social. It is designed to select those that excel in terms of sustainability. It is one of the most important indicators for investors who are interested in ESG. In FY2024, 161 companies (78 companies of which are Japanese companies and 3 are in the semiconductor sector) were selected for DJSI Asia Pacific from approximately 610 major companies in the Asia-Pacific region.
