January 4, 2018 | OrbotechEstimated reading time: 2 minutes
Orbotech Ltd. today announced that the Board of Directors has named Alon Rozner as Orbotech’s new Corporate Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, replacing Ran Bareket in that position, effective immediately. Bareket is leaving the Company for personal reasons and will be returning to the United States with his family to pursue other opportunities. To facilitate an orderly transition, Bareket will remain available to the Company until February 28, 2018.
Rozner has been with Orbotech since 2007, during which time he served in broad range of senior finance, business and operational positions throughout the Company. Since March 2017, Rozner has held the title of Corporate Vice President Customer Support and Business Processes in Orbotech Ltd., in which capacity he has, among other matters, been assuming responsibility for the Company’s corporate governance and compliance. Before returning to Israel to take up this new position, Rozner spent almost five years based in Asia as the Vice President of Finance and Business Services, with responsibility for the finance, budget, operations and information technology of subsidiaries that account for approximately 70% of Orbotech’s business. Prior to 2012, Rozner served as Vice President Finance in the Company’s FPD division.
Commenting on this announcement, Asher Levy, Chief Executive Officer, stated: “I would like to thank Ran for his efforts and valuable contribution to Orbotech over the last three and a half years and wish him and his family well in their return to the United States.” Levy added: “Alon has worked closely with the Company’s senior management over recent years in fulfilling his substantial roles in Orbotech, and we are very pleased to have him assume this even greater role in the management of the Company. His expertise in finance, operations and compliance activity within Orbotech, as well as his extensive knowledge of the Company’s business and customer support operations gained from highly successful years in the field, make him an outstanding choice for Chief Financial Officer.”
Prior to joining Orbotech, Rozner held various positions at Wintegra Inc., including CFO (2005-2007), Director of Finance (2004-2005) and Controller (2001-2004); and from 1998 to 2001 was an accountant at Kost, Forer Gabbay & Kasierer (Ernst & Young – Israel) where he was responsible for private and public company accounts including Nasdaq-listed companies in the technology and communication industries. Rozner is a CPA and holds a B.A. in Business Administration and Accounting from The Israeli College of Management.
Levy, Amichai Steimberg, President and Chief Operating Officer, and Rozner will present at the 2018 Needham Growth Conference on January 17, 2018 at the Lotte New York Palace. The presentation is scheduled for 16:50, Eastern Time and will be webcast on the Investor events page of the Orbotech Ltd. website. A replay of the webcast will remain available for 90 days.

It’s Only Common Sense: Invest in Yourself—You’re Your Most Important Resource
11/25/2024 | Dan Beaulieu -- Column: It's Only Common SenseMost Saturdays, I take the time to invest in myself. I usually have a couple of books I’ve saved for the day. Sometimes, I watch videos germane to the topics I am studying. I take a lot of notes then go for a long walk to think about the information I picked up earlier that day. It works. By the end of the day, I have two or three great ideas for my business, my customers, and how I can help them.

It’s Only Common Sense: You Need to Learn to Say ‘No’
11/18/2024 | Dan Beaulieu -- Column: It's Only Common SenseWhy is it so hard to say “no?” I am a people pleaser, so this is a problem I deal with all the time. Most of us like to say “yes,” and we like to help people, especially when they are offering a business deal that looks like a genuine opportunity. Business opportunities come from all directions, and it’s tempting to say “yes” to them all. However, saying “yes” to everything can dilute your focus, spread your resources too thin, and pull you away from your core goals. Learning to say “no” is not just a skill; it’s necessary for success. It’s only common sense.
