Polytron Print Tests with Gardien’s Automatic Tester
March 15, 2018 | Gardien GroupEstimated reading time: 2 minutes
Polytron Print is now also testing with Gardien's tester in Bad Wildbad. Polytron Print has installed a novel automatic test system that can significantly increase the productivity of printed circuit board electrical testing in Bad Wildbad.
The Kaima GUDAA device from Gardien enables a testing throughput of 500 - 600 circuit boards per hour and can be easily adapted flexibly to different formats and thicknesses.
With a grid density of 70 μm, even complex printed circuit boards are tested for short circuits and interruptions. The plates are stored separately according to the test result.
To be able to react to slight misalignment from top to bottom of the PCB, the lower pressure unit can be aligned with stepper motors.
The data for testing is provided by Gardien as a service. Polytron print also receives the data to manufacture fixture in Bad Wildbach and the fully assembled fixture can also be obtained if required.
It was particularly important for Polytron Print that they could also integrate their existing fixtures into the machine and guarantee a German-language service through the Gardien branch in Limburg.
The experience of over half a year of production experience with the Kaima GUDAA proves how sophisticated, flexible and powerful the device is and that the expected throughput optimization has arrived.
Gardien Europe's director Holger Kern expressed his satisfaction with the launch of Polytron Print's new generation test system. "We have been working closely and trustingly with Polytron Print for many years and see ourselves confirmed in our strategy to underline our market leadership again and again with innovative solutions. Making the design of highly complex printed circuit boards economical will become an increasingly important task in the future. Gardien works today on the solutions for tomorrow. "
