ViTrox, which aims to be the world’s most trusted technology company, is honoured to announce that our V510i Advanced 3D Optical Inspection (AOI) Solution has been awarded a 2023 Mexico Technology Award, in the Test and Inspection - AOI category, from the organiser Mexico EMS. The award was announced during the Mexico Technology Award Ceremony that took place on 25 October 2023, during SMTA Guadalajara in Mexico.
The V510i 3D AOI solution stands out for its pioneering integration of in-depth Artificial Intelligence (A.I.) Smart Technologies. A.I. integration in our V510i 3D AOI solution represents a significant shift in programming and defect classification. With A.I. features, you can achieve automated programming and buy-off processes to reduce skilled manual labour requirements as well as reduce risks of human error.
A.I. Smart Programming rapidly improves the programming speed and guarantees quality, accuracy, and consistency during inspections. One of the standout features of our A.I. Smart Programming is its extensive coverage, encompassing up to 90% of SMT components. This coverage now includes SMT connectors, further enhancing the programming capabilities and delivering high-quality inspections for our valued customers. In addition, users can experience up to 4 times faster programming time with A.I. Smart Programming.

Our V510i 3D AOI solution also includes the A.I. Assisted Defect Review (A.I. VVTS), a feature that further enhances the post-inspection analysis and judgement, thus eliminating human judgement mistakes. This automation streamlines buy-off processes in repair stations and provides consistent inspection results with an impressive ~90 % A.I. accuracy, leading to less than a 1% escapee rate, and offering our customers an unrivalled level of confidence in the inspection results. Additionally, the A.I. VVTS has an A.I. coverage of over 90% for both common and challenging defects. Hence, this A.I. solution allows users to automate buy-off in production with up to 50% yield improvement and up to 60% labour cost reduction!
Moreover, our commitment to excellence has led the V510i 3D AOI solution to qualify for the IPC-CFX-2591 Qualified Products Listing (QPL) and receive the mandatory IPC-CFX messages for classification. This achievement underscores our dedication to meeting industry standards and exceeding expectations.
“It is a genuine honour for ViTrox V510i 3D AOI to secure the Mexico Technology Award in 2023 during our debut participation — a testament to our R&D team's unwavering commitment to innovation and determination in crafting a market-leading product with A.I. technology that benefits our customers in their production. I would like to express my heartfelt appreciation to the esteemed jury for choosing our V510i 3D AOI as the recipient of this prestigious award. We also reaffirm our dedication to the Mexican market, committed to continue seeking innovation and collaborating closely to enhance customer processes through our technologies,” said Mr Carlos Ponce, ViTrox’s Mexico Business Development Director.
