As a long-time exhibitor, MVTec (www.mvtec.com) will once again be part of this year's Automate tradeshow from May 12 to 15 in Detroit, MI. MVTec, a leading manufacturer of machine vision software, will demonstrate how its hardware-independent software can be used to optimize almost any machine vision application. The Munich-based company has been represented in the USA with a branch in the Boston, MA, area since 2007. “Over the past few years, we have experienced strong growth. Our customers appreciate the flexibility offered by our hardware-independent software products MVTec HALCON and MVTec MERLIC. Additionally, the wide range of various machine vision methods included in our products is outstanding. For almost every task, there is the right tool,” explains Heiko Eisele, President of MVTec LLC.
At booth #5207, MVTec will showcase a range of possible applications using various demos. These demonstrate the reading of bar codes and data codes, quality assurance with deep learning for various applications and deep-learning-based counting. In addition, the company will present the latest versions of its software products MVTec HALCON, MVTec MERLIC, and the Deep Learning Tool. MVTec is highly regarded and well known for its innovation and technology leadership in the industry. Advanced methods like “Deep 3D Matching” set MVTec apart from the competition. “Deep 3D Matching” combines deep learning and 3D vision and is therefore particularly suitable for bin-picking and pick-and-place applications.
MVTec’s Machine Vision expert Agnes Weisershaeuser will give a presentation on “Image Processing Fundamentals” at the Automate Conference on Wednesday, May 14, from 8:00 to 10:00 AM (EDT). The presentation will showcase the various application areas and technologies of MVTec machine vision software.
MVTec's positioning: hardware independence, technology, and platform concept
Machine vision can be used in almost every industry. With very high speed and accuracy as well as 24/7 availability, the technology offers advantages for almost every industry. Software from MVTec provides a wide range of functionality and technologically sophisticated methods. With methods for deep learning as well as traditional rule-based machine vision, customers have access to a comprehensive toolset to implement optimized applications flexibly and efficiently. For users of MVTec's software, there is another advantage in addition to technological excellence, namely hardware independence. Because the software is compatible with almost any hardware, users can choose the most suitable devices for their applications and thus achieve the best possible results – even for extremely demanding applications. Finally, HALCON serves as a dependable platform for all machine vision tasks. The software, with its unique combination of performance, functional diversity and economical scalability, makes it the go-to choice with fewer limitations for solving all kinds of vision applications. Using just one software also avoids a patchwork of different machine vision systems on the customer side and reduces training and support efforts to operate their systems.
MVTec has been present in the USA since 2007
MVTec has been represented in the USA with its own subsidiary since 2007. Since then, MVTec has grown steadily and has positioned itself as a reliable partner in the North American machine vision industry. "Our goal is to provide our customers with the best possible machine vision software at all times," says Heiko Eisele and continues: "For us, this means that we maintain a very close relationship with our customers through our local service and actively support them in creating solutions based on HALCON, MERLIC, and the Deep Learning Tool. We are also actively expanding our presence in the North American market by continuously hiring employees for our Boston office."
