Electrolube to Showcase New Protection Solutions at productronica India 2017
August 17, 2017 | ElectrolubeEstimated reading time: 3 minutes

Electrolube will be exhibiting and presenting at productronica India, to be held September 14-16 2017 at the Pragati Maidan Conference and Exhibition Grounds in New Dehli. New products taking center stage at this year's show include HFAC – an innovative high performance and halogen-free acrylic conformal coating, HTCX-ZF – a zinc oxide-free thermal paste as well as a brand new range of high-performance resins specifically for LEDs.
HFAC is a high performance halogen-free acrylic conformal coating formulated for a more environmentally and operator friendly process. As with other acrylic conformal coatings, it is fast drying, durable and can be utilised in a wide variety of applications for electronics protection. It is ideally suitable for automotive electronics, aerospace or military applications where high levels of protection are required from a range of corrosive elements.
Offering excellent electrical properties plus an optically clear, UV-resistant finish, making it a good choice for LED applications, HFAC joins Electrolube’s highly successful aromatic-free conformal coatings range, which avoids the use of hazardous aromatic solvents, such as Xylene and Toluene, making these particular coatings less harmful to the operator.
HTCX_ZF is a zinc oxide free version of Electrolube's bestselling heat transfer compound, HTCX. The newest version is both silicone and zinc oxide free which makes it an ideal choice for applications where marine pollutants or silicones are restricted such as offshore utilities. It offers efficient thermal conductivity for a range of applications and remains stable though a wide and varying operating temperature range while keeping the oil bleed percentage low. HTCX_ZF is non-curing, allowing easy re-work; it is an excellent choice for electronics applications exposed to widely varying levels of humidity that require a reliable thermal interface material.
Electrolube will also showcase an innovative new range of encapsulation resins specifically formulated for LED manufacturers who are seeking to improve the thermal management of LED products and ensure effective heat dissipation is fully achieved.
Resins on show include UR3638, a tough, low exotherm polyurethane resin, which provides a clear, transparent finish; UR5639, a clear/transparent polyurethane resin featuring low exotherm, low viscosity, low hardness and high flexibility, and three new low-hazard, protective and decorative resins that will be of particular interest to LED lighting manufacturers, including the two-part polyurethane resins, UR5634, UR5635 and UR5637.
Further optically clear resins of interest to LED manufacturers include the highly durable UR5562, which is resistant to scratches and marking, and Electrolube’s highly popular two-part silicone resin, SC3001, which is ideal for LED potting and encapsulation due to its clarity when cured and high resistance to UV light.
Two of Electrolube’s foremost experts will be available to help answer questions on Electrolube’s stand, 1019. Global Business and Technical Director for Electrolube’s Conformal Coatings Division, Phil Kinner, and Electrolube’s Technical Director for Resins, Alistair Little, will be on hand to offer advice to visitors on the electro-chemical challenges faced and any product selection issues in question. Phil Kinner will also be hosting a presentation at the show’s Technical Automotive Seminar, in which he will explain his approaches to real-world conformal coatings problems posed by the automotive industry.
