L3Harris Receives High Marks on Sustainability Performance Ranking

L3Harris Technologies has ranked second out of 103 global aerospace and defense companies for its sustainability performance, according to a new report. Morningstar Sustainalytics conducted the independent annual ranking of public companies.
To drive the ranking, L3Harris performed well in several sustainability areas, including its strategy and tactics to reduce emissions.
“Renewable energy initiatives helped us surpass the goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 30% three years ahead of our 2026 commitment,” said Byron Green, Vice President, Global Operations, L3Harris. “Increasing the amount of renewable energy within our portfolio from 4% in 2021 to 31% in 2022 was the determining factor in our success.”
L3Harris also received favorable marks for its track record of reducing employee recordable injuries year-over-year.
L3Harris’ sustainability program is focused on continuous improvement across various Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) areas. The Sustainalytics ratings measure a company’s exposure to industry-specific material ESG risks and how well a company is managing them.
