Barnes Aerospace is pleased to announce that its Taoyuan, Taiwan site recently received MTU Maintenance Hannover GmbH’s Number One Supplier Award during a May 2024 supplier recognition ceremony held at the MTU Maintenance Hannover GmbH —Hannover facility.
MTU Maintenance Hannover GmbH’s reinvigorated Supplier Evaluation Tool (SET) allows its leadership to review several Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) across global MTU Aero Engine sites. Supplier performance is evaluated based on turnaround time (TAT), quality, reliability, and other criteria. These KPIs measure MTU Maintenance’s vast key supplier network to drive efficiency and encourage performance among its suppliers.
Angelique Deiter, SET Network Coordinator from MTU Maintenance Hannover GmbH, said, “Taking a holistic look at our suppliers and the coordinated communication within the network gives us the opportunity to identify and understand differences in performance and find potential for further supplier development.”
Supplier excellence is part of MTU Maintenance Hannover GmbH’s strategy to shape the future of aviation. As Markus Breuer, now Manager of Customer Accounts at MTU Maintenance Hannover GmbH, explains, “Barnes Aerospace's outstanding customer service team is always ready to build new capabilities by developing and industrializing repairs. During every site visit, you can feel their passion for the product and a level of dedication that always gives customers the feeling they are at the center of the day-to-day activity.”
“MTU is a key customer that has grown with us by more than 300% in the last five years of working together as a partner and delivering on the core KPIs that the market expects,” said Johnson Hsu, General Manager, Barnes Aerospace–Taoyuan. “We are delighted to receive the award and will continue to strive to retain the achievement.
