Focal Spot Releases Verifier H X-ray Inspection
December 18, 2007 |Estimated reading time: Less than a minute
SAN DIEGO FocalSpot Inc. launched two configurations of the Verifier H series horizontal-beam X-ray inspection system. The FSX-H75 and H90 are designed to assess industrial, automotive, and medical electronics.
The FSX-H75 offers 75-kV power for general purpose applications. The 90-kV H90 system suits applications with dense or thick materials, or that require finer-detail resolution and higher magnification. Both use a four-axis, 360° sample manipulator and VIP image processing software.
The X-ray inspection systems perform manufacturing quality assessments and defect detection for components and assemblies, such as automotive sensors, castings, electronic modules, electromechanical devices, finished medical assemblies like pacemakers, and other mission-critical devices.
VIP software is PC-based and includes tools for enhancing images, measurement, analysis, data collection, and reporting. Its configuration wizards assist operators in defining pass/fail criteria.
