GlobalSpec Announces Expanded Partnership with PennWell

Troy, N.Y.—GlobalSpec, a search engine and online resource for engineers and technical buyers, announces an expanded partnership with PennWell Corporation, a business-to-business media company providing print and online publications across multiple industries.

GlobalSpec and PennWell originally announced their partnership in January 2004 with the addition of SpecSearch, GlobalSpec's powerful search technology, to the online version of Laser Focus World. A PennWell publication, Laser Focus World focuses on optoelectronic technologies, applications and markets. The newly expanded relationship will bring GlobalSpec's unique parametric search capabilities to thousands of users on three additional PennWell Websites: SMT, Advanced Packaging and Connector Specifier, which all cover the electronics/semiconductors market.

Visitors to the online versions of SMT, Advanced Packaging and Connector Specifier magazines now have direct access to SpecSearch to search by detailed specification for products and services from more than 75 million parts representing 1,200,000 product families from more than 11,500 supplier catalogs in such areas as PCB, fabrication services, EMS, automated test equipment, semiconductors, cleanrooms, imaging stations, connectors, cable assemblies and interconnect products.
