October 20, 2003 |Estimated reading time: Less than a minute
Temple, Texas — SMT Resource Group LLC has been having a banner year despite the long downturn in the electronics equipment market, and recently announced the shipment of the 200th machine in the past 12 months.
On September 30, 2003, the 200th machine was shipped from SMT Resource's Western Technical Center in Concord, Calif. The Panasonic MV2F was shipped to ACOM, a Matsushita company (Panasonic) in Mexico in order to manufacture wireless phones for Panasonic.
ACOM's confidence in SMT Resource's product quality is reflected by Panasonic allowing ACOM to purchase used equipment when new Panasonic equipment was available.
Seventy percent of SMT Resource's equipment has been shipped to Asia; however, 30 percent has been shipped to customers in the Americas, with the majority of American customers selecting SMT Resource's premium equipment.SMT Resource Group LLC sells, integrates, and provides support and service for both new and refurbished electronics assembly equipment to achieve "best in class" selection for their customers.
