Universal to Open New World-Class Manufacturing Facility in Guangdong Province at End of February

Shekou, Guangdong Provence, China -- On February 28, Universal Instruments Corp, will be hosting a customer and press event to celebrate and discuss the opening of the company's brand new world-class manufacturing facility here.
The state-of-the-art 4,700 sq m facility is located in China's booming southern province and is the foundation of the corporation's new global growth strategy.
Representing an initial investment of more than US $5 million, the new manufacturing facility is a significant part of Universal Instruments' ongoing growth plans for China and Asia, and will also be used to provide hands-on process and manufacturing training for existing and potential customers.
During this prestigious event at the new Universal Instruments (Shenzhen) office in Shekou. Ian McEvoy, Universal Instruments president, will be on hand to discuss this important step for the company and the entire China team will be in attendance.
As well as the official opening of the new facility, Universal will also be announcing two new machines, Vantis and the Genesis platform that Universal has designed with the fast-paced China market in mind. The new Vantis will form the basis of Universal's aggressive drive into China. The new Genesis platform has been developed in response to customer demands for modular, platform-based lines that are scalable to meet production demands.
Furthermore, there will be an opportunity to tour this new state-of-the art facility and see how Universal has been able to transfer its world-class manufacturing process and quality programs to this new facility. There will also be a chance to view the new Technology Gallery with its displays of the advanced technologies that Universal's machines are built upon, including Vision, Drive and Interface technology.
