Unitive Opens New Facility and Joint Venture in Taiwan

"The production qualification of this new facility allows Unitive to bring its unique, advanced semiconductor packaging abilities to the Asian market and establish significant additional production volume capacity," said Robert Lanzone, vice president of marketing for Unitive. NORTHBROOK, Ill. - According to the Report on the World Market for Printed Wiring Boards and Substrate Materials recently published by the IPC Technology Market Research Council (TMRC), world production of printed wiring boards (PWB) and flexible circuits reached a record high $42.7 billion in 2000. Of that total, rigid PWB production accounted for $38.8 billion and flexible circuit production was $3.9 billion. The figures were generated by input from industry experts, manufacturers and organizations from around the world.
