December 31, 1969 |Estimated reading time: 1 minute
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - Delta Group Inc., a CM offering turnkey CM solutions and technical services for the aerospace/defense industries and commercial product suppliers, announced the changing of its corporate name to Delta Group Electronics Inc. This is designed to better reflect the scope of the company`s electronics manufacturing and technical services offerings.
"Delta Group Electronics has built its reputation on its `Concept of Excellence` by focusing on superior customer service at competitive pricing in electronics manufacturing and services," said Steve Klein, president. "By changing the company name, we are better able to communicate this mission and emphasis to the business community."
One of the first actions taken under the new name was the purchase of Northstar Electronics Inc., an electronics manufacturing and technical services company serving business partners in San Diego and Southern California. Northstar president Ted Schmid will join Delta Electronics as vice president and plant manager, while J.D. Van Meter will assume an expanded role as marketing director. According to Schmid, "There will be no change in the production team except to grow as we move forward."
Klein said, "We are pleased to have completed this transaction, which will enable Delta to enhance Northstar`s manufacturing and assembly capabilities and services offerings to better serve our business partners. Northstar is a highly respected electronics manufacturing company in the San Diego market, and we plan to strengthen and expand this position, including turnkey services and electronic design and testing."
