ULT Intros New Extraction System Concept
February 19, 2019 | ULT LLCEstimated reading time: 2 minutes

Introducing the ULT 200.1 unit series, ULT LLC is not only providing a new device generation but a completely new system concept. At the heart of the concept, there are space-saving, modularly and extremely rugged designed systems for the removal of laser and soldering fumes, dusts, gases, odors and vapors.
The fume extraction systems‘ modularity particularly provides high flexibility regarding changing process conditions, because the devices can be individually equipped with different filter units, e.g. for higher pollutant amounts or with activated carbon as needed. Users also have the opportunity to assemble each system with a variable number of capturing elements, such as extraction arms or hoses (Ø 50, 75, 80). As up to four capturing elements may be installed per unit, a corresponding number of individual workplaces and systems may be supported by fume extraction technology.
Thanks to a specially developed integrated vacuum stabilization and selectable pressure ranges, the ULT 200.1 system’s extraction performance is adaptable automatically and flexibly to the required pollutant capturing. This primarily concerns fume extraction at several workplaces, providing cost savings to a high degree. For example, exhaust performance is automatically reduced if only two of four extraction points are actively used.
The entire system concept including an extensive number of original accessories, among others a foot switch for ON/OFF, extraction hoses of various lengths, Y hose connectors, sockets, cuts or a panel for extraction arm installation provides major added value. The well-thought-out portfolio was specially designed for the ULT 200.1 device series, enabling users to save time in the search for accessories and their adaptations to individual pollutant capturing situations. Upon request, skilled professionals from ULT support on-site system installations.
Furthermore, ULT has re-engineered both device and filter concepts. The traditional low noise operation of the ULT systems has been improved even further by utilizing new material for sound insulation.
The system housing is very robust, providing one of the most durable constructions on the market.
Newly designed filter modules enable for a low contamination filter exchange, making special security measures redundant. Furthermore, the systems provide a filter exchange prewarning at 80% filter saturation. That enables sufficient time to plan the safe and convenient replacement of filters resulting in shorter downtime and, hence, time and cost savings. An M12 interface for device connection is also integrated.
