Dynamic EMS Demonstrates its Commitment to Quality by Investing in Key People in Key Areas
April 22, 2020 | Dynamic EMS LtdEstimated reading time: 2 minutes

Quality is a key value component within the Dynamic EMS organisation. It is a rock function, embedded into the company’s culture. At this time critical period, and as the company enters more and more into the manufacturing (EMS) arena for medical device equipment thanks to the company’s ISO13485 certification, Dynamic EMS made the strategic decision to invest in talented resources to strengthen its management structure.
Dynamic EMS would like to welcome Iver Macdonald to its quality department. One which is founded on the management commitment to continuous improvement. Iver will head up the department as Quality Manager and comes to Dynamic EMS with 12 years of experience gained in Quality Management within the Medical Device industry.
On Iver’s appointment, John Dignan, Owner and Managing Director commented, “The Quality Department within Dynamic EMS is a dominant one. All of the services offered by Dynamic EMS are underpinned by our Quality Management System (QMS) which ensures complete traceability back to vendor and batch. It is our policy and commitment to our customers to deliver products and services to the specifications and quality standards agreed. All processes through the company are covered within the scope of BS EN ISO9001 certification. However, where required, a quality plan can be agreed with individual customers to cover their specific requirements.
"Iver joins us at a vital time in not only our company’s 60-year history, but also society’s. We manufacture non-invasive medical equipment, critical at this time. It is Iver’s role to ensure that we meet and exceed our customers’ expectations, 100% of the time.”
Iver added, “I actually worked for an organisation who are currently customers of Dynamic EMS, so I was able to see the company from the outside, and I liked what I saw a great deal. I was aware of the goal to not only make a product of superior quality, but to make the whole design, development, engineering, to distribution process as seamless as possible for the customer. For me, this made sense, to be more than simply a Printed Circuit Board Assembler (PCBA), but to be a partner in the entire production lifecycle supply chain. It will be my role to ensure that we keep up to-date with all industry standards and that we comply with international regulations. As the Dynamic EMS customer base expands from local fulfilment to overseas markets, this is essential.
"As a company, I was drawn to how much they care about the environment and the health and safety of their employees. It was encouraging to see that they operate environmental and Health & Safety policies that comply with ISO14001 and ISO45001 respectively. Many companies talk the talk, but Dynamic EMS walk the walk as well. As the Quality Manager, this is what gave me the reassurance to join the team, after all it’s my department that has to guarantee the product performance, so we need to be 100% confident, at all times.”

However, if you’re running a proper business, not a popularity contest, then customer retention is where you make your money. However, too many companies treat customer retention as an afterthought.
