NOTE Grows Further Within Medtech
January 25, 2021 | NOTEEstimated reading time: Less than a minute
NOTE has begun cooperation in electronics manufacturing with a well-established large international medtech company, a leader in its field. Batch production will begin during the first half of 2021 at NOTE's plant in Estonia. The potential in the collaboration is significant and sales are estimated to amount to approximately SEK 85 million on an annual basis. The conditions are good that the collaboration will develop into NOTE's largest in medtech.
“Our business continues to develop strongly, and we win new customers and projects in a convincing way. It is also gratifying that our investment in medtech, where, among other things, high quality requirements are set, achieves continued success. We are very proud of this new collaboration with a world-leading player in its field,” says Johannes Lind-Widestam, CEO and President.

He also discusses how consulting before the design phase can save time and costs by avoiding manufacturing issues and highlights the reliability and packaging benefits of flex technology, especially for compact designs in sectors like aerospace.
Calculating PCB Complexity and First-pass Yields
12/03/2024 | Happy Holden, I-Connect007There are three things I know mathematically about PCB yields: Defects that produce low yields may be systemic and repeatable, while others may be random (but you can test for this); you can predict yields if you take the time to collect the data; and yields are such wonderful things, so we should write about them more.
I-Connect007 Editor’s Choice: Five Must-Reads for the Week

Also, this week, we hear from I-Connect007 Managing Editor Nolan Johnson, who’s been in Mexico for SMTA Guadalajara. Speaking of Mexico, I want to highlight an interview that appeared in IPC Community between Lorena Villanueva and Barjouth Aguilar of Flex, who talk about the importance of sustainability. I wrap up my recommendations with articles about solder printing and wet process control.

Material Matters: PCB007 Magazine June 2024 Issue
06/17/2024 | I-Connect007 Editorial TeamHow a company manages its inventory has a tremendous effect on its financials. This is also true for PCB manufacturing. But, as with most things regarding printed circuit board manufacturing, nothing is as simple as in other business segments. Materials management is nuanced, multifaceted, and requires a holistic systems approach for business success. It is no surprise that the PCB industry is abuzz with energy around material matters.
