Murata to Start Construction of New Welfare Building at Yokaichi Plant

Murata Manufacturing Co., Ltd. will begin construction of a new welfare building on the Yokaichi plant premises in May 2022.
The purpose of the welfare building is to enhance employee welfare facilities, and secure cafeteria space and meeting rooms in preparation for future staff growth. The building is designed to be environmentally friendly, and to help prevent the spread of infectious diseases. Environmental considerations include the installation of solar panels and natural ventilation driven by the stack effect. On the disease prevention front, Murata will ensure a safe work environment for employees through the installation of devices that measure CO2 levels and elevators with contactless controls.
