Beyond the Rulebook
What happens when the rule book is no longer useful, or worse, was never written in the first place? In today’s fast-moving electronics landscape, we’re increasingly asked to design and build what has no precedent, no proven path, and no tidy checklist to follow. This is where “Design for Invention” begins.

Major U.S. Holiday Today: Independence Day
July 4, 2022 | I-Connect007 Editorial TeamEstimated reading time: Less than a minute
Today marks the 246th Independence Day of the United States of America. Also known as the Fourth of July, this day commemorates the adoption of the Declaration of Independence by the Continental Congress, as well as the declaration by the Congress that the American colonies are free and independent states. Independence Day is the National Day of the United States.
Interesting note: Benjamin Franklin, George Clymer, Robert Morris, George Read, James Wilson, and Roger Sherman were the only founders to sign both the Declaration of Independence in 1776 and the Constitution of the United States in 1787.

American Made Advocacy: Rebuilding America’s Military Stockpiles Begins With Microelectronics
04/28/2026 | Shane Whiteside -- Column: American Made AdvocacyCurrent world events demonstrate the fragility of long-distance supply chains transiting multiple zones of conflict. The U.S. military is currently drawing down supplies of key munitions and other electronic systems at unprecedented rates.1Every one of those systems is powered by printed circuit boards. The American PCB industry has kept pace with peacetime demand for the defense industry, but will now be called upon to increase production to a wartime footing at rates not seen in decades.
The Marketing Minute: Your Metrics Aren’t Telling the Full Story
04/08/2026 | Brittany Martin -- Column: The Marketing MinuteIn digital marketing, we tend to rely on the same set of metrics: Average read time. Bounce rate. Session data. For years, these metrics have been the default for gauging marketing success, so it makes sense to rely on them. But in today’s privacy-first B2B environment, they’re becoming less reliable and often misleading. You’re missing part of the picture.

03/26/2026 | Dan Beaulieu -- Column: Dan's Biz BookshelfEvery once in a while, a book comes along that doesn’t just inform you, it recalibrates you. Breakneck: China’s Quest to Engineer the Future by Dan Wang is one of those books. This is not another breathless “China is coming” warning, nor is it a dismissive “they’ll never catch up” comfort read. Wang does something far more valuable: He calmly, intelligently, and relentlessly walks you through what’s actually happening on the ground inside the world’s fastest industrial transformation. It’s eye-opening.
