VDL ETG: New Location in Vietnam
March 20, 2024 | VDL ETGEstimated reading time: 1 minute
VDL ETG, the high-tech cluster of VDL Groep, during the Dutch trade mission in Vietnam, ratified a cooperation with Frasers Property for the construction of a new facility in Vietnam. Construction of the new VDL factory in the northeast of Vietnam will start soon. The schedule is for the first modules to leave the new plant to supply international customers by the end of the first quarter, beginning of the second quarter of 2025.
VDL Groep's overall growth strategy is global, on 3 continents: in Europe, America and Asia. VDL's global customers are asking for even better global coverage, with local production for the local market. Being able to deliver anywhere is a major advantage for VDL's existing and new customers.
VDL is therefore also investing on all 3 of these continents, the majority in Europe and some in both other continents. These investments are aimed at maintaining and strengthening employment in the current plants. VDL ETG also has locations in Asia in Singapore and Suzhou (China).
About 60 colleagues will initially join VDL ETG in Vietnam. At the end of the first quarter, beginning of the second quarter of 2025, the first modules are scheduled to leave this location to supply the international customers.
