DuPont announced that it has been Certified™ by Great Place to Work® (GPTW) Korea and has earned special recognitions as the “Best Workplace for Working Moms” and the “Best Workplace for Seniors.” The awards were presented at the GPTW conference held on Thursday, Nov. 27 at the Federation of Korean Industries conference center.
The Great Place to Work Certification™ is based on results of the Trust Index™ survey administered by the Great Place to Work Institute, which assesses employee satisfaction in key areas, from credibility and respect to fairness and camaraderie.
According to the recent employee survey, DuPont received high scores in key areas, including Respect (89%), Safety (88%), Work Environment Support (86%), and Autonomy (83%).
“DuPont is committed to fostering a respectful, safe, and fulfilling workplace where all of our employees can meaningfully contribute and have a sense of belonging,” said Seung-Kwan Yang, President, DuPont Korea. “We hope the Great Place to Work® recognition instills pride for our team as we continue to cultivate a culture that supports a heathy work-life balance and empowers our employees to thrive.”
Driven by the company’s core values – safety and health, respect for people, highest ethical behavior, and protecting the planet – DuPont has achieved this recognition by fostering an inclusive, supportive workplace culture. The company encourages work-life balance through flexible options, including hybrid schedules, discretionary work arrangements, flexible hours, and staggered start times, allowing employees to balance commitments while enhancing productivity.
DuPont also provides employees in Korea with 20 days of parental leave, in addition to maternity leave, and promotes equal opportunities for career development and growth. The company advances diversity, equity and inclusion through policies and has removed hierarchical titles. Employees are encouraged to join councils, clubs, and self-managed employee resource groups, creating a collaborative and agile culture.
DuPont operates an office in Yeoksam, Seoul; research and development at the DuPont Korea Technology Center in Hwaseong; and a manufacturing facility in Cheonan. With over 950 employees in Korea, DuPont offers diverse opportunities for professional development to help its people grow.
