INSPECTIS AB has partnered with Sony Image Sensing Solutions to develop the Series U50 digital camera microscope, featuring an impressive 4K resolution and a 60 FPS frame rate. Featuring Sony's FCB-ER9500 camera, the U50 is equipped with the advanced STARVIS™ 2 image sensor, providing outstanding image quality in extreme low light environments as well as in the brightest lit conditions. With an enhanced zoom range of 50x, the U50 is designed for fast-moving tasks that demand ultra-high resolution.
In making the announcement, Alistair Gooch, Marketing Manager, said, “Back in 2018 Inspectis led the industry by introducing the Series U10, the world’s first 4K resolution digital microscope. Soon afterward, the more powerful U30 series joined the lineup. But now, with the introduction of the Inspectis U50 Series, a new era begins. U50 brings all the best expected from the U30 and bumps up the frame rate to the widely anticipated 60 FPS, and at the same time, boosts the zoom range from 30x to 50x.” He added that the U50’s sensor provides higher sensitivity and a higher dynamic range than previous 4K cameras. Additionally, it provides superior image stabilization. “Throughout this history of product innovation, INSPECTIS has partnered with Sony Image Sensing Solutions (ISS) for the highest quality cameras for its digital microscopes, providing unrivalled visualization, magnification, and image capture. INSPECTIS and Sony ISS have forged a strong working relationship over many years, culminating in the use of Sony's FCB-ER9500 camera for the cutting-edge Series U50” Alistair stated.
Sasan Esmaeili, founder and chief executive of INSPECTIS, stated, "We have been using Sony ISS cameras since 2008 and have always been very happy with the quality of the products and the technical cooperation we have received. This partnership has led to the launch of the Series U50, which doubles the speed and extends the zooming capability of our 4K range of microscopes. In tandem with our accessories and software, it is the ultimate ultra-high-resolution solution for fast-moving inspection."
