The Training Connection, LLC (TTC-LLC), a premier provider of test engineering and development training, is proud to announce that Jack Harris, one of the most recognized names in electronics manufacturing training and technical development, has joined the company as Relationship Lead, Training.
A respected figure across the SMT and rework community, Harris brings more than 30 years of hands-on experience in assembly, inspection, and technical education. Known for his deep industry knowledge and ability to connect people, processes, and technology, Harris will lead TTC’s outreach and partnerships within the OEM, EMS, and education sectors—strengthening collaboration and driving the evolution of training programs that meet real-world production challenges.
“Jack Harris is the kind of leader who raises the bar for everyone around him,” said Bert Horner, President TTC-LLC. “His expertise, credibility, and passion for teaching will play a huge role in expanding TTC’s influence and helping our customers and partners stay ahead in an increasingly complex manufacturing landscape.”
Harris has spent much of his career at the forefront of electronics manufacturing training. During his tenure at STI Electronics, Inc., he was instrumental in advancing IPC certification programs and technical development initiatives across North America. He also played an active role in the SMTA Dallas Chapter, where he helped foster collaboration and knowledge sharing among engineers, technicians, and industry leaders.
More recently, Harris served as North American Sales Manager for PDR (Precision Desoldering and Rework), where he supported customers in rework, inspection, and BGA repair technologies—continuing his mission to elevate process capability and training standards across the industry.
“I’ve always believed that the strength of our industry comes from the people who never stop learning,” said Harris. “TTC is building something special—training that’s relevant, practical, and rooted in real manufacturing experience. I’m excited to help grow that vision.”
The Training Connection (TTC-LLC) provides technical and professional development programs for the electronics manufacturing industry, including:
