SEL Showcases Global Factories and Product Development Journey for Manufacturing Day

SEL is celebrating Manufacturing Day 2025 with the release of a new video showcasing its product development and vertically integrated manufacturing process. The video illustrates how ideas become high-tech products that protect, monitor and control electric power systems around the world through engineering ingenuity, rigorous testing and a culture of ownership.
From initial concept to onsite installation, the video highlights the commitment to quality, reliability and craftsmanship at SEL. It demonstrates how in-house component production, inline quality checks and global support services all contribute to delivering defect-free, rugged and reliable products backed by an industry-leading 10-year warranty.
“Our employee owners take pride in building products that meet the highest standards of performance, reliability and cybersecurity,” said Leith Sorenson, senior vice president of manufacturing. “This video, created by the SEL Marketing team, captures the spirit of collaboration, innovation and dedication that drives our mission to make electric power safer, more reliable and more economical.”
Manufacturing Day is observed on the first Friday of October and celebrated throughout the month to showcase modern manufacturing careers and inspire the next generation of manufacturers. As part of its celebration, SEL will share the video with students, educators and community members, will feature profiles of production employees on its social media channels and will engage with schools through its K-12 Education Outreach program.
