MacDermid Alpha Expands Laboratory Facilities in Thailand to Strengthen Regional Innovation and Customer Collaboration

MacDermid Alpha Electronics Solutions, a global leader in chemicals and materials for electronic manufacturing, announced the opening of its expanded laboratory in Bangkok, Thailand. The new facility is part of the company’s broader strategy to strengthen its local presence in Southeast Asia and support the region’s growing role in global manufacturing under the ’China + 1’ model.
The state-of-the-art laboratory is equipped with advanced analytical and testing instrumentation to provide faster, more comprehensive support to customers across the region. This expansion enhances MacDermid Alpha’s ability to help customers solve technical challenges, accelerate new product development, and ensure the highest level of process reliability.
The facility features advanced analytical and testing equipment that enhances process control, product qualification, and overall reliability for customers. Key additions include instruments for precise plating bath and metal analysis, such as Cyclic Voltammetric Stripping, ICP-OES, and Ion Chromatography, as well as systems for evaluating mechanical strength and surface quality, including tensile testing, 3D surface profiling, and SEM-EDS imaging. Together, these tools provide deeper insight into material performance, helping customers achieve greater process consistency and faster development cycles.
