Ventec International Group announced its strategic partnership with the Taoyuan Stone Weir Association to launch the “Ocean Stone Weir Conservation Project,” aimed at preserving Taiwan’s unique stone weir heritage and enhancing marine ecological awareness. In recognition of its outstanding efforts, Ventec has been awarded the “2025 Ocean Sustainability Action Award” by the Ocean Conservation Administration (OCA).
“We believe that protecting our coastal cultural heritage and marine ecosystems is vital not only for our islands but for the global blue economy,” said Dr. Chiu, Yi-Cheng, Director and Chairman of the Sustainability Committee of Ventec International Group. “This award motivates us to deepen our commitment to sustainability and material innovation for a greener future.”
High-performance materials meet environmental responsibility
In addition to its marine-conservation initiative, Ventec has significantly advanced green-material development. Its portfolio now includes halogen-free, phosphorus-free, high-thermal-conductivity materials designed for high-performance electronics, fully compliant with EU and China environmental regulations. The company’s newly developed non-glass filer RCC/RCF materials have been successfully applied in thin passive components, underlining Ventec’s position at the forefront of green manufacturing.
Corporate volunteerism in action
The Ocean Stone Weir Conservation Project engages Ventec employees and their families through hands-on volunteer programs in collaboration with the Taoyuan Stone Weir Association. Participants assist with stone weir restoration and receive ecological briefings to deepen their understanding of marine biology and habitats. Focus is placed on the spawning period from November to February, promoting a strict policy of “no overharvesting” to safeguard biodiversity and turn natural sites into living marine museums.
A shared vision for sustainability
The initiative aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Kunming–Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework. It reflects Ventec’s holistic approach—embedding sustainable business practices, local heritage preservation, and environmental innovation into its corporate culture.
The Ocean Conservation Administration’s ESG-focused platforms, including the Marine Conservation ESG Partnership Platform, Clean Ocean Alliance, and Local Guardian Program, bring together corporations, local communities and volunteers to build a robust network of marine-sustainability champions. This year’s inaugural “Ocean Sustainability Action Award” highlights organisations that deliver exceptional impact.
Moving forward, Ventec International Group will continue to collaborate with local partners to drive ecological stewardship and green innovation—dedicated to creating resilient value for society and the environment.
