Green Circuits, a full-service Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) partner to leading OEMs, is celebrating 20 years of operation as a trusted electronics manufacturing services (EMS) provider, known for fast-turn PCB assembly and responsive manufacturing support for OEMs worldwide.
Founded in 2006 and headquartered in the heart of Silicon Valley, Green Circuits has grown from a rapid prototyping specialist into the largest quick-turn PCB assembly company in the United States. Over two decades, the company has expanded its capabilities and capacity while staying focused on what first set it apart: speed, quality, and engineering-driven execution.
Today, Green Circuits delivers end-to-end manufacturing services, including design support, PCB fabrication, assembly, testing, and box build. The company supports both prototype and full production programs across demanding industries such as aerospace and defense, medical and health technology, industrial electronics, and semiconductor and AI hardware.
“From day one, our goal has been simple—help customers move from concept to production faster and with confidence,” said Michael W. Hinshaw Jr., CEO of Green Circuits. “Reaching this milestone is a reflection of our team’s consistency, adaptability, and the long-term partnerships we’ve built with our customers. We’re proud of where we started and even more focused on what comes next.”
As customer requirements continue to evolve, Green Circuits remains focused on expanding its quick-turn capacity, investing in advanced manufacturing technologies, and maintaining the flexibility that has defined the company since its early days.

The Journey from Dilution to Zero Liquid Discharge
05/11/2026 | Richard Nichols, GreenSource EngineeringIf you’re familiar with the PCB industry, and a little long in the tooth like me, you may remember the cry, “The water board is here!” (or an equivalent authority). This was the signal for a frantic but regularly rehearsed exercise to turn on all the rinses. This anecdote demonstrates that in the early days of PCB production, prevailing practices revolved around a “dilution is the solution” mentality, in which manufacturers used copious amounts of water to dilute contaminants before discharging them into regulated municipal wastewater systems or natural water bodies.
Driving Innovation: Selecting the Right Laser Source
04/28/2026 | Simon Khesin -- Column: Driving InnovationWhen I first joined Schmoll Maschinen, I brought experience from almost every PCB process, except for laser. As I immersed myself in laser processing, I realized why it can seem so daunting to a newcomer. The complexity arises from three intersecting factors: A vast variety of laser sources: CO2, UV-nano, green-pico, UV-pico, IR-pico, and others; a diverse range of applications: Drilling, cutting, ablation, and more; and an extensive list of materials: These have vastly different absorption rates. Choosing the right machine or laser source is rarely trivial. Even for experienced engineers, answering "Which source is best?" requires examining the business's specific goals.

Institute of Circuit Technology Spring Seminar 2026: A Bright Future in Europe
04/23/2026 | Pete Starkey, I-Connect007Through the leafy lanes and spring flowers of Warwickshire and back to Meridan, the traditional centre of England, and now officially part of the Metropolitan Borough of Solihull in the county of the West Midlands, I attended the Annual General Meeting and Spring Seminar of the Institute of Circuit Technology (ICT) on April 14. Out of the AGM came notable changes in leadership at the top of the Institute: the retirement of Mat Beadel as chair and Emma Hudson as technical director. Effective May 1, Steve Driver is the new chair, and Alun Morgan is the new technical director.
