Neways, the global innovator in mission-critical technology for leading semicon, defense & mobility, and connectivity companies, has signed a long-term partnership agreement with Thales. Neways supports Thales with a highly specialized portfolio of electronics for Thales’ advanced radar and sensing solutions.
Signing the long-term agreement further cements a partnership that started with advanced custom-packaged microelectronics at Neways Advanced Microsystems in Nijmegen, and continues to expand along Neways’ larger offering of mission-critical electronic solutions, ranging from specialized PCBAs, to box-builds and larger complex assemblies. The agreement, with an initial term of 10 years, secures the consistent supply of particular radar-related electronics solutions, and will also provide strong foundations for collaboration and expansion of the portfolio over the coming years.
In addition, the partnership marks an important step towards technological sovereignty further strengthening the Dutch defense ecosystem as it continues to lead the development of advanced radar systems.
Michiel van der Maat, CCO of Neways comments: “I am proud to formally cement one of Neways’ fastest-growing collaborations through this Long-term Partnership Agreement with Thales. What started with highly specialized custom-packaged microelectronics today represents an expansive partnership to reliably supply mission-critical solutions in radar technology. I look forward to continue bringing the best Neways has to offer to bear for Thales and the vital systems it supplies.”
Gerben Edelijn, CEO of Thales Nederland comments: “Thales has always argued that a reliable supply chain is vital to our systems and the infrastructure they represent. Thales invests heavily in its manufacturing capabilities in Europe, and having partners such as Neways in place guarantees that we have all we need to do what we do best.”
