On 19 February 2026, Incap Corporation completed the acquisition of Lacon Group. With this milestone, Incap Germany and Romania officially became part of Incap’s global organisation.
The acquisition directly supports Incap’s growth strategy. It strengthens the company’s position in the defence, railway technology and medical technology sectors and provides a strong foundation for further expansion in Germany, Europe’s largest EMS market. It also broadens Incap’s capabilities in design, engineering and Original Design Manufacturing, enabling more comprehensive support for customers across the entire product lifecycle, from early product development to high-reliability manufacturing. In addition, the acquisition expands Incap’s global footprint with more than 600 employees and four strategically aligned production locations.
High-quality electronics for a wide range of applications and industries
Incap Germany and Romania operate three production facilities in Germany and one manufacturing site in Romania, serving customers across Europe and global markets. With more than 40 years of experience, the factories specialise in the design, development, engineering and production of complex electronic and electromechanical solutions.
Original Design Manufacturing is a key strength of the organisation, extending beyond traditional contract manufacturing. The sites combine engineering expertise with certified EMS production and integrated logistics, enabling seamless product realisation from concept development to series production.
Karlsfeld, Germany – Headquarters and engineering hub
Karlsfeld, near Munich, serves as the headquarters of Incap Germany and Romania and forms the central hub of the organisation. Here, design and engineering capabilities, embedded systems expertise, certified EMS production and integrated logistics are brought together under one roof, enabling seamless product realisation from concept to series production.
More than 300 employees work in three shifts across over 12,000 square metres of production space. In three production halls on three levels, cables are assembled, printed circuit boards are fitted and coated, and devices and systems are assembled into the final product ready for dispatch.
The site combines hardware and software development with industrial production, ensuring that solutions developed by embedded systems engineers are efficiently transferred into series manufacturing. The connectivity solutions division further supports customers through the distribution of components and parts.
Key focus areas include Design & Engineering, Embedded IoT, EMS production, and Connectivity & Logistics.
Boxberg, Germany – Würth System Plant
The Boxberg site operates as a dedicated system plant in close cooperation with Würth Industrie Services. A specialised team focuses on the construction of automatic removal and dispensing systems, integrating system production directly into the customer’s manufacturing environment.
On more than 1,000 square metres of production space, the Würth Orsymat systems are assembled from sheet metal processing through to the integration and testing of electronic modules, hardware and software before dispatch.
The Orsymat solutions support IIoT-based picking systems and can be integrated into ERP environments, enabling efficient industrial inventory management. The site strengthens Incap’s capabilities in system-level manufacturing and industrial automation.
Glinde, Germany – Customised EMS services for over 25 years
Located east of Hamburg, the Glinde production site has been delivering integrated electronics manufacturing solutions for more than 25 years. Around 60 skilled professionals work across over 2,000 square metres of production space, manufacturing high-quality electronic assemblies and systems.
The site benefits from its proximity to major industrial customers, including companies such as Lufthansa Technik and Airbus, as well as a broader network of technology-driven businesses in Northern Germany.
The site serves demanding industries such as mechanical engineering, laser technology, sensor technology, and utility engineering. Its services cover the full value chain, from development and prototyping to series production and after-sales support. With flexible processes and strong technical expertise, the team is able to respond quickly and reliably to changing customer requirements.
The site offers high vertical integration, including state-of-the-art SMD assembly, 3D AOI, selective soldering and box-build capabilities.
Galați, Romania – Scalable production and engineering expertise
The Galați site is located in a key industrial hub on the Danube, with strong infrastructure connections across Europe. The facility provides scalable and cost-efficient series production, supporting competitive lead times and stable supply chain performance within the European market.
Almost 400 employees work across approximately 4,600 square metres of production space, focusing on high-volume cable assembly and device and system construction.
The site holds IATF 16949 certification, meeting the quality requirements of the automotive and e-mobility sectors. In addition to manufacturing, Galați hosts a Design & Engineering competence cluster for Industrial Applications, where software developers and engineers support the development of advanced industrial solutions.
Strengthening Incap’s global network
With the addition of Germany and Romania, Incap now operates production units in Estonia, India, the United Kingdom, Slovakia, the United States, Germany and Romania. The expanded network strengthens Incap’s European presence while enhancing global delivery capabilities.
The integration of Incap Germany and Romania further supports knowledge sharing, operational excellence and cross-unit collaboration and strengthens Incap’s position as a trusted EMS and ODM partner for customers worldwide.
