I-Connect007 is excited to announce its newest columnist, Tianming Liu, founder of First Quality Circuit Co. Ltd. (FS Quality) and Fuji PCB. His new column, Bridging the Pacific, will draw on more than three decades of experience in PCB manufacturing to explore the different manufacturing cultures, practices, and perspectives found across the global electronics industry.
Liu brings an unusual background to the column. After studying and working in Japan, he entered the PCB industry in 1997 as a translator at the Chinese factory of a Japanese PCB manufacturer. He later became factory manager and eventually rose to acting deputy general manager. In 2009, Liu co-founded Fuji PCB in China, combining lessons learned from Japanese manufacturing with the speed and flexibility of China's manufacturing environment. Today, the company's manufacturing operations include facilities in China and Thailand, with sales centers in major technology markets around the world, and is branded as FS Quality.
Rather than looking at global manufacturing from a distance, Bridging the Pacific will bring Liu's firsthand perspective to the challenges and opportunities facing PCB manufacturers and their customers today.
