Adjustments in Saab's Business Area Structure and The Group Management

Defence and security company Saab today announces changes to its business area structure and within the Group Management. Business area Security and Defence Solutions is dissolved and its business units are moved to other business areas within Saab. The adjustments are intended to further increase efficiency and strengthen market position.
Saab expects organic sales growth in 2015. This growth is largely managed with existing resources, while potential efficiency measures are reviewed to increase profitability and enable further market focus. The adjustments noted below will be effective from 1 January 2016.
The business units within Security and Defence Solutions will be adjusted as follows:
- Traffic Management and Combat System and C4I Solutions become units within business area Electronic Defence Systems.
- Training and Simulation becomes a unit within business area Dynamics.
- Critical Systems & Communication Solutions becomes a unit within business area Support and Services.
- Business unit Saab Kockums will report to the CEO and is intended to report financially within corporate.
The new organisation will be effective from 1 January 2016. Due to the dissolution of
Security and Defence Solutions, the head of that business area, Gunilla Fransson, choses to leave Saab and the Group Management.
As of 31 December 2015, Saab’s head of communications, Åsa Thegström, will leave the Group Management to take the position as head of business unit Training and Simulation.
