Henkel Honors E-Tronix with its Fifth N.A. Representative of the Year Award
May 10, 2016 | HenkelEstimated reading time: 2 minutes
Henkel Adhesive Technologies’ Electronics business has named E-Tronix its 2015 North American Manufacturing Representative of the Year. This is the fifth time in six years that the company has earned this distinction, which Henkel awards to its top performing representative as measured against very stringent criteria.
“Since the beginning of our relationship with E-Tronix, the team has consistently delivered on Henkel’s high expectations,” says Brian Betti, Henkel North American Sales Director. “To rank performance, Henkel evaluates our external sales channel partners on various metrics including development of new business opportunities, year over year sales growth, commitment to service excellence and direct customer feedback. In 2015, E-Tronix increased the opportunity pipeline and grew sales in its territory significantly over the previous year, results that were fueled both by the company’s geographic expansion and success with new products like our temperature stable solder pastes, Loctite® GC 10 and Loctite GC 3W.”
E-Tronix, which is headquartered in Minneapolis, Minnesota, has recently expanded its operation with the addition of an 1,800 square foot training and demonstration space and the opening of a suburban Chicago, Illinois office. With a team of five highly-experienced electronics professionals, E-Tronix has built a reputation for being a focused, strategic, knowledgeable and results-driven sales partner. Currently, the company sells Henkel’s full line of electronics assembly materials to customers in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Northern and Southern Illinois, Iowa, Indiana and Kentucky.
Commenting on its long track record of award wins and continued growth, E-Tronix founder, Erik Stromberg, notes that the company’s success is largely due to its product line strategy and Henkel’s superb support. “From the start, our strategic approach has been to align with best-in-class suppliers, limiting our line card to the highest quality, synergistic products,” he says. “Among electronic materials suppliers, Henkel is in a class by itself -- both from an innovation and partnership perspective. The Henkel team is constantly developing new materials to address emerging market needs, and the breadth of the Henkel product line along with the backing of its team and resources are big factors in our success. Henkel makes it easy to work hard for them; our staff receives great support on all levels so that we can consistently exceed our objectives. We are honored to have received this prestigious award for a fifth time.”
In addition to the North American Representative of the Year Award, E-Tronix’s Anthony Noto, Managing Partner of the company’s Illinois operation, was selected as the Henkel 2015 Rookie of the Year among external sales personnel.

Knocking Down the Bone Pile: Gold Mitigation for Class 2 Electronics
05/07/2025 | Nash Bell -- Column: Knocking Down the Bone PileIn electronic assemblies, the integrity of connections between components is paramount for ensuring reliability and performance. Gold embrittlement and dissolution are two critical phenomena that can compromise this integrity. Gold embrittlement occurs when gold diffuses into solder joints or alloys, resulting in mechanical brittleness and an increased susceptibility to cracking. Conversely, gold dissolution involves the melting away of gold into solder or metal matrices, potentially altering the electrical and mechanical properties of the joint.
