Dymax Introduces BlueWave MX-150 LED Spot-Curing System
August 8, 2016 | Dymax CorporationEstimated reading time: 1 minute
Dymax Corporation introduced the BlueWave MX-150 - a new smaller LED spot-curing system with unique curing flexibility. The system can be used as a bench-top unit or integrated into an automated system, and its LED emitters are available in 365, 385, or 405 nm wavelengths.
In addition to providing great curing flexibility, the BlueWave MX-150 is also uniquely designed to offer higher, more consistent curing intensities than traditional spot-curing systems. Located at the point of cure, this system’s curing energy is created using an LED chip in the emitter to provide more consistent curing by eliminating the potential loss of intensity caused by long or bent lightguides. Furthermore, with this new design, the emitter can be easily mounted to robotic arms or mounted further from the controller without fear of intensity variations.
The BlueWave MX-150 is comprised of two main parts, a controller with an easy-to-use touchscreen interface and a high-intensity LED emitter. For specialized applications, users also have the option to connect a lightguide to the system without experiencing any intensity loss. The unit can be activated by a foot pedal, its LCD touch screen, or through a PLC interface.
