MES from iTAC Now with Low Code Tools
January 21, 2022 | iTAC Software AGEstimated reading time: 2 minutes
The MES/MOM specialist iTAC Software AG has equipped its holistic Manufacturing Management System iTAC.MOM.Suite with new low code functions. This means that changes to the business logic or the creation of customer-specific user interfaces (UI) for the MES/MOM solution are possible with just a few clicks and practically no programming knowledge. This reduces the effort required for UI creation by up to 80 percent, for example.
"The iTAC philosophy is to provide flexible, open-standard software that can be adapted to our customers' processes. Our iTAC.MOM.Suite Manufacturing Management System is therefore modular and scalable, and its openness allows it to be seamlessly integrated into customers' digital platform strategies. We put great emphasis on simplicity for our customers and therefore integrated low code tools," explains Peter Bollinger, CEO of iTAC Software AG, a subsidiary of Dürr AG.
Configuration instead of programming in Business Flow and User Interface
With the low code tools available in the iTAC.MOM.Suite for developing solutions or modeling processes almost without programming, the time for creating business processes can be reduced by up to 65 percent and for generating user interfaces by up to 80 percent. In the future, processes can be modeled using drag-and-drop BPMN (Business Process Model and Notation) flows. Processes are graphically displayed in a simple and understandable way for all users and developers. New components can be easily added based on common tasks and individual customer requirements. Fast deployment and short feedback loop for demo/test instances is guaranteed.
User interfaces can also be created via drag-and-drop and linked to the APIs of the iTAC.MOM.Suite. The low code approach and the corresponding graphical design of the process significantly reduces the possibility of integrating errors into the process, resulting in a lower number of errors during creation and reduced implementation costs. In addition, prototypes can be generated quickly and easily, and customers and Professional Service can easily create a solution during a workshop, for example. Furthermore, users benefit from rapid deployment, because the resulting solution can be used almost immediately, so that there are no interruptions.
"Modern manufacturing is all about saving time and reducing costs. At the same time, highly demanding digital processes have to be mapped and implemented. We want to make the daily processes of MES/MOM users easier - the integration of the low code tools is another important step in this direction," explains Peter Bollinger.

It’s Only Common Sense: Stop Chasing New Customers and Start Keeping the Ones You Have
08/11/2025 | Dan Beaulieu -- Column: It's Only Common SenseCustomer retention is not glamorous. It doesn’t have a flashy ad campaign, it’s not going viral on social media, and nobody’s handing out “Best in Retention” awards at trade shows. However, if you’re running a proper business, not a popularity contest, then customer retention is where you make your money. However, too many companies treat customer retention as an afterthought.
