iNEMI Announces Board of Directors Election Results

The International Electronics Manufacturing Initiative (iNEMI) has announced results from its recent Board of Directors election. The high-tech consortium’s members have added three new directors to the Board and re-elected three incumbents.
New to the iNEMI Board are Francois Barbara, Electrical Material & Process Manager, Schlumberger, who will serve a three-year term; plus Ranjan Chatterjee, Executive Vice President, Cimetrix, and Heinz Moitzi, Chief Operations Officer, AT&S, who will both serve two-year terms. The three re-elected incumbents, all of whom will serve three-year terms, are Jean-Luc Pelissier, PhD, CEO, Universal Instruments Corporation; Richard Coyle, PhD, Consulting Member of the Technical Staff, Nokia Bell Labs; and Dongkai Shangguan, PhD, Vice President, Flex.
“The iNEMI Board plays an integral role in the governance of our organization,” said Marc Benowitz, CEO. “They provide oversight for our operations, including decisions regarding policy, strategy and direction of the consortium. These recently elected individuals bring a high caliber of leadership, as well as supply chain diversity, to our Board. We welcome the new and returning Directors and look forward to working with them.”

The International Electronics Manufacturing Initiative’s mission is to forecast and accelerate improvements in the electronics manufacturing industry for a sustainable future. The consortium is made up of approximately 80 manufacturers, suppliers, industry associations and consortia, government agencies, research institutes and universities. iNEMI roadmaps the needs of the electronics industry, identifies gaps in the technology infrastructure, executes collaborative projects to eliminate these gaps (both business and technical) and stimulates standards activities to speed the introduction of new technologies.
