I-Connect007 Editor's Choice: Five Must-Reads for the Week
September 18, 2020 | Nolan Johnson, I-Connect007Estimated reading time: 2 minutes

Two weeks ago, when it was my turn to pick the top 5, I made a comment about themes. I’m making a stretch here, but this week’s theme is technical education. Three out of the five most popular news items this last week reported on upcoming technical events or publications.
It should come as no surprise that our collective interest is turning to technical materials; in a normal year, the industry trade show season would have kicked off this month. But instead of attending trade shows in person, like many school-age kids right now, we’re attending online.
To round out the list, you’ll also find some aerospace/solar news and an update from Insituware, a manufacturer of smart measurement systems.
Next week, Andy Shaughnessy is back with his top five recommendations.

I-007eBook Review: Thermal Management From a Fabricator’s Perspective
September 15, 2020
Regular readers know that Dan Beaulieu often shares book reviews with us. This time around, Beaulieu discusses The Printed Circuit Designer’s Guide to… Thermal Management: A Fabricator’s Perspective, written by Anaya Vardya, founder and CEO of American Standard Circuits. If the amount of attention the review received is any indication, readers see thermal management as a hot topic. (Sorry, I couldn’t resist.)
