Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories Accelerates Hiring
September 25, 2024 | Schweitzer Engineering LaboratoriesEstimated reading time: 1 minute
Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) announces plans to hire approximately 400 new employee owners throughout the company.
About 240 of these opportunities are in Pullman, WA, Moscow, ID, and Lewiston, ID. Another 24 will be added to its growing team in West Lafayette, IN., with the remaining joining teams at SEL offices across the U.S. and in other countries. The openings will be at all levels and include hardware, software, firmware and power engineers as well as a variety of other roles outside of engineering disciplines.
“Being an engineer myself, and having engineering as our middle name, it is exciting to have a special hiring emphasis to further our mission.” said Dave Whitehead, CEO, “This growth also highlights the beauty of a multitude of business skills needed to work together to grow a vibrant and strong worldwide company.”
“We believe in inventing the future, and we’re delighted to be growing next door to great land grant institutions like Washington State University, University of Idaho and Purdue University,” said SEL President Ed Schweitzer. “We’re addressing challenging problems head-on: How can we reduce the risk of fire? What is inherently safe cyber? How can we change the complex and expensive into better, cheaper, simpler?”
“For 30 years, I’ve been inventing and developing protective relays, controllers, meters and cyber products and seeing customers benefit from them,” Dave commented. “Come join us inventing the future!”
“Our accelerated hiring also creates more internships across the country and abroad,” said Ed. “These are great opportunities to study, get paid and stay out of debt while going to school.”
