ARX Robotics, Supacat Partner on UK Uncrewed Systems

ARX Robotics UK has begun manufacturing autonomous ground systems in the United Kingdom following its first contract with the British Army. The announcement marks a significant step in the company’s growing UK presence and the Army’s adoption of robotic and autonomous capabilities.
Awarded through Task Force RAPSTONE, the contract will see ARX Robotics UK deliver an initial order of UK-manufactured GEREON uncrewed ground vehicles equipped with intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance payloads, alongside technical support to enhance the Army’s Recce-Strike experimentation activity.
The award follows months of collaboration between ARX Robotics UK and British Army operators, during which the UGVs were refined through trials and operational experimentation, including through exercises in Kenya and the Baltics to demonstrate how autonomous platforms can keep soldiers out of immediate danger, strengthen situational awareness, and accelerate decision-making in complex operations.
ARX Robotics has been expanding its UK presence as part of its wider European growth strategy, investing £45 million to support the manufacturing of up to 1,800 robotic vehicles annually, creating at least 90 skilled jobs, and contributing to the UK Government’s ambition to link national defence capability, industrial strategy and economic growth.
Minister for Defence Readiness and Industry, Luke Pollard MP said: “The British Army's adoption of autonomous ground systems is a clear signal that the UK is serious about modernising its land forces and staying ahead of our adversaries. ARX Robotics’ decision to begin manufacturing in the UK is exactly the kind of investment we want to see. It demonstrates that our defence industrial strategy is working - attracting innovative technology companies to build here, backing skilled jobs and strengthening our Armed Forces.”

The rapid delivery of UK-manufactured platforms also demonstrates how new defence technology companies can work alongside the Army to bring capability into service faster.”
ARX Robotics’ systems are already widely deployed in Ukraine and have been integrated into NATO and Joint Expeditionary Force exercises, providing real-world insight into how uncrewed and autonomous systems can support reconnaissance, logistics and force protection in contested environments.
ARX Robotics’ modular platforms are designed to integrate with existing military systems and support a range of operational roles including reconnaissance, logistics support, route clearance, casualty evacuation and force protection. The platform architecture allows integration of wide-ranging mission payloads supporting systems for combat, electronic warfare, counter-UAS and many more.
