Following are the announcements of internationally recognized certifications, government awards, and standards oversight in Europe, the U.S., and China from Elcoteq, P.D. Circuits, and GSPK Circuits.
Elcoteq Beijing, subsidiary of EMS provider Elcoteq SE, received two awards from Beijing governmental committees, recognizing integration with the surrounding community, upstanding business practices, and promotion of an international technology center in the city. The "Capital Civilized Enterprise Award," presented by the Committee of Capital Social Construction of Ideological Infrastructure, celebrates Elcoteq Beijing's quality standards and "harmonious" business management, especially in light of China's preparation for the 2008 Olympics.
For the second straight year, Elcoteq nabbed the "2006 Civilized Enterprise of Business Development Area Award," allotted by the Committee of Business Development Area (BDA) of Social Construction of Ideological Infrastructure. The committee, which belongs to the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area, commended Elcoteq's contributions to technological advancement and fostering international technology development.
P.D. Circuits, Inc., of Hampstead, N.H., conducted an IPC-600G certification training course for customers and new employees at its N.H. headquarters. Bruce MacDonald, director of technology and quality at P.D. Circuits, taught the course, which is available to all P.D. Circuits' customers. MacDonald is an IPC-certified trainer with more than 20 years PCB material and process-engineering experience. He also works with customers to implement IPC-600G inspection programs. Helen Morris, P.D. Circuits' eastern Canada representative; Deborah Dinicola, a P.D. sales representative in New England, and seven customers completed the course.
PCB manufacturer GSPK Circuits Ltd. (Knaresborough, Harrogate, U.K.) promoted Martin Clifford to senior technical and quality manager.
