Coating Facility Opens in Costa Rica
July 19, 2006 |Estimated reading time: Less than a minute
INDIANAPOLIS Specialty Coating Systems, Inc., opened a Parylene coating facility in Heredia, Costa Rica. The 8,000-square-foot facility, located within the Global Park Free Zone, is their 10th global location.
SCS constructed the facility to meet current customer requirements and build future capacity, said Terry Bush, COO at SCS. Bush suggested that the Costa Rican location will well serve worldwide markets because of its geographical location, workforce, and access to the growing electronics markets.
Max Montero will manage the Costa Rican facility. SCS maintains facilities in England, Ireland, the Americas, Korea, Japan, and other Asian regions. Parylene is a pure, colorless, vapor-deposited poly used to protect components and boards.
