Products Aid Lead-free Transition
March 22, 2006 |Estimated reading time: Less than a minute
AMARILLO, Texas — Techspray's LeadCheck (2515-N) swabs test components and solder joints for leaded solder in both existing and incoming inventories. The company's Lead-free/RoHS Guide covers issues related to defluxers, wicks, masks, soldering tips, and solder pots.
LeadCheck swab kits are available in packs of eight to equip every station in a manufacturing line, preventing lead contamination from incoming and in-stock boards and components. The kits also aim to avoid mixed lead and lead-free inventories, lead contamination in RoHS-compliant work areas, and potential risks for shipping non-compliant products.
The Lead-free/RoHS Guide outlines the RoHS and WEEE Directives and RoHS production issues, including Techspray's solutions. A product listing for lead-free-tested products highlights a portfolio of defluxers, wick, mask, and Plato soldering tips and solder pots. The guide also features a RoHS audit sheet that identifies the most suitable products for lead-free environments.
