GAC Acquires Lead-free Selective Soldering Systems
February 1, 2006 |Estimated reading time: Less than a minute
SPOKANE, Wash. — A.C.E Production Technologies announces the sale and installation of dual KISS-101 selective soldering systems to Agawam, Mass.-based Governors America Corporation (GAC), a global supplier of electronic engine controls. The installation is part of GAC's lead-free conversion program to meet RoHS compliance. The KISS-101 selective soldering systems are compatible with new lead-free soldering alloys.
The KISS 101 selective soldering system is a flexible soldering solution with lead-free-compatible solder pot and components. It is ideal for low-volume assembly, prototyping, and rework, post-reflow offline assembly, and other soldering applications such as odd-form devices. A variety of standard and custom nozzles are available for the system, configured for bench-top use with an optional carriage for stand-alone use. It can accommodate PCBs from 2 × 2" up to 18 × 24", and connectors up to 10" long. Its footprint is 30 × 32".
