Multilayer Capacitors Offer Low ESR
June 27, 2005 |Estimated reading time: Less than a minute
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — AVX Corp.'s SQ Series multilayer capacitor (MLC) chips are suited for RF/microwave applications that range from 10 MHz to 4.2 GHz. A fine-grained, high-density and high-purity dielectric material keeps moisture out and heavy internal palladium electrodes make them ideal for applications with high-current-carrying capabilities and high quality factors. The capacitors also offer low ESR and high series resonance, and are available in 1210 and 0605 sizes with voltages up to 500 VDC for stability under the stresses of changing voltage, frequency, time and temperature.
