Profile Rail Guides Promote Accurate Linear Positioning
February 9, 2005 |Estimated reading time: Less than a minute
BETHLEHEM, Pa. — In addition to precise linear positioning, these profile rail guides provide smooth operation, high load-carrying capacity, high stiffness, and unlimited stroke for a variety of linear motion applications, and are now available from SKF Motion Technologies.Features include four precision-ground raceways and a slide unit with four ball circulation paths. The square raceway configuration results in a guidance system with rigidity to accommodate equal load capacity in all directions. The miniature guides incorporate a two-point contact of rolling elements with the raceways, promoting high-speed operation, quiet running and low friction. Each is available in a size variety with various slide configurations (normal, wide, long) and lengths for specific application requirements. Ready-to-mount units facilitate installation and minimize adjustment requirements.
